Summer School 2026

The Western Québec School Board will offer classes over the summer of 2026 for students who have a failing mark (45% or higher — special cases below this threshold will be considered individually)  in a course from the 2025-2026 school year.

General information

Location:

Most summer classes take place at D’Arcy McGee/Symmes High School, at 925 boul. du Plateau, Gatineau (QC) J9J 3G2. Please see the link below for helpful bussing information in regard to the summer school location, D’Arcy McGee/Symmes.

However, some summer classes can be offered at Golden Valley, Noranda, G. Théberge, and Maniwaki Woodland Schools, as well as at Pontiac and St. Michael’s High Schools. Contact these schools for more information.

Ministry Exams – Summer Schedule

Ministry requirements for graduation

Students must accumulate 54 credits, 20 of which must be at the Secondary V level. The compulsory credits are:

      • Secondary 5/Grade 11 English (6 credits)

      • Secondary 5/ Grade 11 French (4 credits)

      • Secondary 4/Grade 10 Mathematics (4 credits or 6 credits)

      • Secondary 4/ Grade 10 Science and Technology (4 credits) or Applied Science and Technology (6 credits)

      • Secondary 4/ Grade 10 History of Quebec and Canada (4 credits)

      • Secondary 4/Grade 10 Arts Education (2 credits)

      • Secondary 5/ Grade 11 CCQ or Physical Education and Health (2 credits)
