Complaints Procedure

Our Complaints Procedure, or by-law 18, provides the sequence of actions that may be taken by a parent or student who is dissatisfied with a decision or outcome that has been rendered by a school principal or centre director at the school or centre level.

Student Ombudsman

As outlined in the school board’s Complaints Procedure, a student or parent of a student, if dissatisfied with the examination of a complaint or its outcome, may apply to the Student Ombudsman, who will then give the Council of Commissioners an opinion on the merits of the complaint and recommend any appropriate corrective measures. All complaints will be treated with confidentiality.
