Pascal Proulx Appointed Director General of the Western Québec School Board
The Western Québec School Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Proulx as Director General, effective June 1, 2026.
Mr. Proulx currently serves as Assistant Director General and brings extensive senior leadership experience and in-depth knowledge of the organization. Over his career with the WQSB, he has held several key administrative roles, including Director of Human Resources, Finance, Buildings, Transportation, Information Technology, and School Organization. He succeeds Mr. George Singfield as Director General who will be retiring this July.
“Mr. Proulx’s experience, leadership, and understanding of the WQSB make him exceptionally well suited for this role,” said Joanne Labadie, Chair of the Council of Commissioners.
“I am honoured by the trust placed in me by the Council of Commissioners,” stated Mr. Proulx. “I look forward to continuing to work collaboratively with the Council, employees, school administrators, and partners to support student achievement and strengthen the services we provide throughout our territory.”
