Basketball – Athlete Evaluation Session – October 17

Basketball-loving Girls & Boys are invited to join us for our Athlete Evaluation Session on Wednesday October 17, 6:30 to 8PM in the gymnasium of Philemon Wright High School (80 Daniel-Johnson, Gatineau).

Presentation

A Sport-Études program is a partnership between a Québec sports federation, a school board & the Ministry of Education (MEES).

  • The entrance criteria, training schedule, and fees for the sport are decided by the sports federation;
  • The school decides the entrance criteria and the performance criteria thereafter;
  • The goal is to make it easier for elite athletes to balance the rigorous demands of training and academics.

Note: A Sport-Études program is different from a Sport Concentration program, which instead is a local arrangement/agreement between a school and local sports non-accredited organization. Hadley & Philemon Wright is not accepting any Sports Concentration students at this time.
