Led by dedicated staff members Amélie Gascon, Lee-Ann Beaulé and Mahitab Fathy, the Bus Transportation Group meticulously plans routes for nearly 8,000 students across 355 buses, including minibuses, large buses, and taxis.

The 2024-2025 Bus Safety Campaign is centered on instilling crucial safety practices among students. It underscores the privilege of busing and the collective responsibility to uphold a safe environment. Key objectives include educating students on proper boarding and disembarking procedures, fostering respectful behaviour onboard, and emphasizing the significance of driver cooperation.

Key Principles of Bus Safety:

1. Avoid Distractions: Students are reminded to refrain from distracting the driver, who must concentrate on the road.

2. Remain Seated: Throughout the journey, it is essential for students to remain seated until the bus has come to a complete stop, minimizing the risk of accidents or injuries.

3. Ensure Visibility: Before crossing in front of the bus, students must ensure the driver acknowledges their presence.

Weather Conditions and Safety:

Bus safety protocols remain consistent regardless of weather conditions. However, heightened vigilance is crucial during inclement weather, as drivers contend with additional challenges, particularly in winter.

Events and Resources for Students:

To bolster awareness, students are encouraged to engage with educational resources available through designated links and videos, fostering a culture of proactive safety measures.
