Dear Parents, Guardians, Adult & Vocational Education Students,
The Fédération des professionnelles et professionnels de l’éducation (WQSB Education Professionals affiliated) has informed the Western Québec School Board of its intended strike action, scheduled to begin on Thursday, April 29, 2021 at 12:01 a.m. and end at 11:59 a.m.
Please note that as a result of this strike action, and the fact that it will comprise the majority of the school day, WQSB schools and centres in Region 08 (listed below) will be closed on Thursday, April 29th. Please note as well that daycare services for the listed schools below will not be available on April 29th. The schools in Region 08 are:
- G. Théberge School
- Golden Valley School
- Noranda School
- Anishnabe Adult Education Centre
- Western Quebec Continuing Education Centre in Val d’Or
All schools and centres in the Outaouais region will continue to operate as scheduled with distance learning on April 29th.
