PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given to the electors of the Western Québec school board by the returning officer, that:
- The following positions are open for nominations:
- Commissioner – Ward #1 (G. Théberge, Noranda, Val d’Or)
- Commissioner – Ward #10 (Lord Aylmer, WQCC)
- Nomination papers for these positions must be filed at the office of the returning officer or at the office of the assistant(s) authorized to receive the declaration of candidacy, on the following days and at the following times:
From May 10 to May 15, 2022 inclusively, according to the following schedule:
From May 10 to May 14, 2022 From 8:30 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 to 4:30 pm | Sunday May 15, 2022 From 1 to 5pm |
*Saturday April 2, nomination papers will be received by appointment only.
- If two or more candidates are nominated for the same position,
- A poll will be held on June 19, 2022 from 10 am to 8 pm,
- An advance poll will be held on June 12, 2022 from 9.30 am to 8 pm
- I have nominated Ms. Rachel Vincent to act as the election clerk.
- An elector who does not have a child admitted to the educational services of the English-language school board or the French school service centre serving his/her domicile may choose to exercise or revoke their right to vote at an English-language school board. This choice is made by sending a notice in writing to the returning officer of the English-language school board, from May 21 to May 31, until 10:00 pm.
