Dear Parents and Guardians,
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with an update on student transportation. Several media outlets reported last Friday that an agreement in principle was agreed upon between the Quebec Government and the Fédération des Transporteurs Scolaires. Since then, many of the member companies of the Fédération have rejected the financial terms of the offer. Negotiations continued this week, and another agreement was reached yesterday but unfortunately excluded our region.
Although we have not yet reached an agreement with our local transportation companies, they have all agreed to provide transportation for our students as we continue to negotiate local terms under the provincial funding agreement.
