Am I registered on the Anglophone Electoral List?
Under the School Elections Act, to be on the WQSB electoral list, a person must be a qualified voter as per Article 12 of the Act. All eligible parents with children enrolled at WQSB are registered on the Anglophone Electoral list.
What if I have children enrolled with the French school board?
- To be on the English electoral list of the WQSB, you cannot have a child enrolled in a Francophone-Language School Service Centre.
According to the School Elections Act, who is eligible to vote?
- Any eligible voter with a child enrolled at the WQSB
- Any eligible voter without a child enrolled at the WQSB residing within the WQSB territory and who has given notice to be on the anglophone electoral list
- Any elector whose child was enrolled at the WQSB and has completed school is considered to have opted to be registered on the WQSB list
