Cyclists from All Outaouais School Boards United in the Promotion of Healthy Living

On Thursday 24 May, a team of six cyclists from all five Outaouais school boards came together at L’Équipage school in Val-des-Monts to promote healthy lifestyles as part of Grand défi Pierre Lavoie (1000 kms).

The mission of Grand défi Pierre Lavoie is to encourage young people to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The team has raised $1,000 to help the school fund projects related to physical activity.


The team is composed of Pascal Proulx of the Western Québec School Board, Isabelle Lowe of Commission scolaire des Portages-de-l’Outaouais, Nathalie Champagne of Commission scolaire des Draveurs, Réjean Potvin of Commission scolaire des Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais, Julie Bouchard of Commission scolaire Cœur-des-Vallées and Stéphane Vallée of Commission scolaire des Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais.
