Dear Parent/Guardian,
Yesterday afternoon the Québec Ministry of Education released the revised term weightings for the 2020-2021 school year. This measure follows the Ministry’s previous decision and announcement to cancel all provincial exams and épreuves. Further, the Ministry acknowledges the challenges faced by students in this particular school year and has articulated that the revised weightings have been put in place to best support students with the noted challenges.
The revised term weightings for students at both the elementary and secondary level are as follows:
- Term 1: 35% of the final year-end result
- Term 2: 65% of the final year-end result
Individual schools will provide additional information regarding end-of-year assessments, as these are local school-
based decisions.
