Dear Parents, Guardians, Students and Staff,
Due to weather alerts and extreme heat forecasted by Environment Canada for much of the province of Quebec, and considering the special sanitary circumstances of the current COVID-19 pandemic, all schools/centres in the Western Québec School Board will switch to distance learning as per each school’s learning schedule for Monday June 7 and Tuesday June 8 – with the following exceptions (air conditioning is available):
- Western Quebec Career Centre
- Namur Intermediate School
- Wakefield Elementary School
More information is forthcoming for those schools that are scheduled for COVID-19 vaccinations on June 7 and 8.
A reminder as well, that due to strike action by non-teaching professionals during the morning of June 9, virtual learning will begin at noon on that day.
We apologize for these disruptions, but please know that these decisions are taken to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff and to ensure that the learning environment remains optimal.
