Good afternoon,
In a directive received from the provincial government earlier today, we have been mandated to recall the following disposable face masks from our schools and centres: Reference #SNN200642 (grey/blue masks). This directive mandates all schools with the masks in question to recall them, based on a recommendation from Health Canada.
WQSB schools have been instructed to box and set aside any of the identified masks; these will be picked up and disposed of by members of the WQSB Buildings department.
For the purpose of clarification, all masks issued to WQSB staff and students are provided by the Ministry of Education.
