Western Québec 3.0

To celebrate its 20th year of quality English education, the Western Québec Council of Commissioners has adopted a new corporate logo. We are officially launching it this week along with an intuitive new website, a practical new mobile app and a new community newsletter.

New Logo, Same Motto

Our new, simple and modern logo consists of 3 Ws and is meant to represent the people we serve and the values we hold. The 3 Ws represent the 3 levels of education Western Québec offers – primary, secondary and adult. The letters are interconnected, signifying progress, continuity and teamwork. It is also meant to represent a partnership of parents, students and schools. Because of its simplistic design, different people will see different things, like an open book or the rooftops of schools.

Updates Every Day on WesternQuebec.ca

We want to make it as easy as possible for parents, staff and taxpayers to find the answers to any and all of their questions. This is what we offer now. Have a look around!

Western Québec in your Pocket

The Western Québec mobile app brings the board well into the smartphone and tablet era. This new tool will enable us to target parents by schools and send relevant notifications directly to their pocket. Of course, it doesn’t stop there. We also loaded our app with features like staff resources and the Western Québec Virtual Library.

Families should download the app to make sure they get timely information on bus transportation, fire drills, various reminders and important news. Families without smartphones can get Inclement Weather information on our Website, Facebook and Twitter feeds as well as on the air of their local radios.

The Western Québec mobile app is available for download on iPhone, iPad and Android devices. Download it here.
