For a few years now, the five school boards and services centres in the Outaouais have come together to send a team of amateur cyclists to the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie, a challenging biking fundraiser. This year, our school board will be represented by Martine Lupien, our new Director of Finance.

| The team of cyclists from the 5 school service centers and school boards in the Outaouais region would like to offer you the opportunity to contribute to the fundraising campaign for the 1000km bike ride of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie that will take place next June. The funds raised ($5,000) will be used to sponsor 5 schools in the region, including WQSB’s Onslow Elementary School. For each $20 donation, you have a chance to win one of 2 electric bikes: – 1 Pedego LATCH bike valued at $3495 – 1 Pedego FORD SUPERCRUISER bike valued at $4995 For more information, pictures of the bikes and to participate, please visit the Centre de services scolaire des Draveurs website. The all-women team will hold different fundraising events and initiatives until June 8, when they will leave Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean and have three days to bike 1000 kms to Montréal.
