THIS PAGE IS ARCHIVED
It does not reflect the directives and measures in place for the 2021-2022 school year

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

As you may be aware, the provincial government announced on Saturday that the following regions are designated as being in a red zone:

  • Gatineau
  • MRC des Collines

As a result of this announcement, there are a number of measures that we are required to put into effect. The two documents that follow outline the directives we have been issued. Please take note of the following:

  • Students at Symmes Jr. & D’Arcy McGee High Schools, Hadley Jr. & Philemon Wright High Schools, and St. Mike’s High School will be required to wear face coverings at all times while on school grounds

  • Secondary IV and V students at D’Arcy McGee High School, Philemon Wright High School, and St. Mike’s High School will attend school on a rotating schedule, whereby the are in classes at school one day, and attend virtual classes the next; respective schools will provide additional information

Download and read the two documents outlining these new directives >

It is important to note that all WQSB schools and centres continue to follow all directives and guidelines as issued by the government and Santé Publique; we remain fully committed to ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place so as to provide the most secure conditions for our students and staff.

George Singfield
Secretary General and Director of Corporate Services and Communication
