THIS PAGE IS ARCHIVED

Dear Parent/Guardian,

Yesterday, the provincial government announced that the measures currently applicable to Grades 10 and 11 students at secondary schools in the designated red zone would now apply as well to students in Grade 9. Please note that beginning Monday, November 2nd:

  • Grade 9 students at D’Arcy McGee High School, Philemon Wright High School, and St. Mike’s High School will attend school on a rotating schedule, whereby they attend classes at school one day, and attend remote classes the next; respective schools will provide additional information re: class times; note that these measures continue to be in place for students in Grades 10 and 11 at the above-listed schools
  • All students at Symmes Junior High, D’Arcy McGee High School, Hadley Junior High, Philemon Wright High School, and St. Mike’s High School will be required to wear face coverings at all times while on school grounds

It is important to note that all WQSB schools and centres continue to follow the directives and guidelines as issued by the government and Santé Publique; we remain fully committed to ensuring that all necessary safety measures are in place so as to provide the most secure conditions for our students and staff.

Sincerely,

George Singfield
Secretary General and Director of Corporate Services and Communication
