Registration procedure for our new full-time K4 classes

Postponement of K-4 Registration: Please be advised that in light of the most recent directives and restrictions mandated by the provincial government, the Western Quebec School Board is postponing the K-4 registrations scheduled for April 8th for Eardley Elementary School, Lord Aylmer Elementary School, and Wakefield Elementary School.

A new registration date will be provided once established.

Following the announcement of five new full-time four year-old kindergarten classes for school year 2020-2021, we will soon be ready for registrations.

The following schools will be opening new classes. The program will be offered in English only. Please note that there are eligibility requirements in order to secure a spot within our K4 classes. Each school has 17 spots, and can accept a few more registrations on a wait list.

Eardley Elementary

Registration will open on April 8th, 2020 at 8:30am. The registration will take place at the school board offices (15 Katimavik, Gatineau).

Registration will open on April 8th, 2020 at 8:30am. The registration will take place at the school board offices (15 Katimavik, Gatineau).

Noranda School Contact the school for registration procedure.
Wakefield Elementary

Registration will open on April 8th, 2020 at 8:30am. The registration will take place at Wakefield Elementary School.

Registration will operate on a first come first serve basis: we will distribute tickets upon arrival and this will indicate your place in line.

K4 continues to be offered in 10 other Western Québec schools.

Eligibility requirements
  • All students must be 4 years old prior to October 1st of the school year in which you are enrolled. 
  • All students must be eligible for English education under Bill 101
  • All students must reside within established school boundaries
Required documents

Please bring the following on the day of registration: 

  • Child’s original long-form birth certificate bearing parent’s names
  • Canadian citizenship of parent (who attended English school in Canada)
  • Proof of residency in Quebec (valid driver’s license of parent/adult responsible or lease/deed and utility bill)
