Western Québec coordinates quality education in five adult education and vocational studies centres. All centres provide quality English-language education over an immense and diverse territory which covers the Outaouais, Pontiac and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regions. Our Adult Education Services are also offered virtually through Distance Education for Adults Services.

    Hull Adult Education Centre

    The Hull Adult Education Centre offers courses that allow students to complete their High School education, acquire academic upgrades, complete required prerequisites for vocational training or collegial studies. HAEC focuses on student success and preparedness.

    Maniwaki Adult Education and Vocational Training Centre

    The Maniwaki Adult and Vocational Education Centre provides a respectful, caring, safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment that promotes active student involvement and self-motivation, while encouraging students to achieve through the establishment of personal goals and recognition of strengths.

    Pontiac Continuing Education Centre

    This centre allows students to pursue both academic and vocational studies. Students can acquire their high school diplomas, pre-requisites for vocational or college/university programs, or do academic upgrading. Students can also pursue their DVS (Diploma of Vocational Studies).

    Western Québec Continuing Education Centre – Val-d’Or

    The Western Québec Continuing Education Centre in Val-d’Or offers courses that allow students to complete their high school diploma or receive prerequisites for vocational training and post-secondary options. This is a vibrant centre that is currently growing its student body, and also houses the Val-d’Or Community Learning Centre.

    Staff at the Centre believe in empowering adults to become life-long and life-wide learners, who explore opportunities they value that lead to their success. Education is a lifelong pursuit for intellectual and social growth, which makes an individual a productive, contributing, and caring member of society.
